- I am a single parent, can I apply just for my child or children? YES, we welcome family applicants. Apply here.

- How long does it take after applying to hear back? We will be in touch within 7 to 10 days to follow up, schedule a phone interview with the applicant or main contact.
- How long has Elevate Our Kids been operating? We just got started in late September 2020, and are excited to support our K-12 kids in America. Stay tuned for exciting announcements and laptop distribution news.
- How can I get involved as an individual? You can either become an individual ambassador of Elevate Our Kids or Donate to support or sponsor a student.
- How can I get involved as a company or organization? You can collaborate with us, partner with us, donate new devices (laptops, tablets, chromebooks, hotspots, headsets, other equipment), or join us an an official corporate ambassador.
- Are the laptops, tablets or chromebooks new or used? We seek to provide brand new devices to our applicants.
- What happens after you distribute or send the devices to the students? Elevate Our Kids will NOT manage, load software (our partners may do this), secure, or track inventory of laptops or tablets for the school or district. We will coordinate directly with the school or school district for IT management services. We will not be a customer service or support organization once the devices are distributed to the schools or students.
- Will I get the laptop or device from my school or would it come directly from Elevate Our Kids? We will decide on each application as to how best to distribute devices to the student(s). We will inform you of this once the device(s) are ready to be shipped. We prefer to work directly with the school district to best coordinate.
- Will there always be laptops or devices available for applicants? No, we will only distribute if we have the financial resources or inventory in house. We will however keep applicants in the queue in the order and priority placed by the Board members.
- How do you determine if the applicant is approved? The Board at Elevate our Kids will review the applications (or work with Project 10million or others) and the approval committee will schedule phone interviews, call references, and perform a list of research activities before approving the application. Once the application is approved, the applicant contact will get an email of the approval and timing of the device distribution, and any related dates.
- Are donations tax deductible? Our fund is able to accept donations that are tax-deductible under Section 501(c)(3).” Elevate our Kids is a Texas nonprofit corporation operating through a fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund, a Maryland charitable trust recognized by IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Federal Tax ID: 27-6601178). Contributions to Elevate Our Kids are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
- What percentage of donations go to Device purchases? Elevate Our Kids has NO EMPLOYEES and is run by the board members and volunteers. 100% of the donated proceeds will go towards marketing, administration, and the purchase of devices for K-12 students. We may from time-to-time invest in hotspot devices, Chromebook licenses, and other related equipment to provide a full package to the student. We will provide quarterly data and reporting to remain transparent with our donors, applicants, and the general public.
